Bot

Bot, in SMM panel catalogues, means an automated account or activity generated by software rather than by a person, delivering follows, likes or views without anyone looking at the content.

Bot services are inexpensive to produce because one operator can run a large number of accounts or generate traffic from scripts. That is why they sit at the lower end of a price list and can take large quantities at high speed. The accounts are often bare: no photo, no posts, generated names, created in batches.

The same features make bot engagement the easiest kind to identify and remove. When a cleanup happens, bot-delivered counts can fall in large steps rather than gradually, and a service with no refill leaves the full loss with you. On services where the engagement has to register as activity, such as watch time counted in analytics, bot traffic may be filtered before it is ever counted, so the counter moves while the number you care about does not.

Few catalogues put the word bot in a service name, because it does not sell. The same services appear under labels like LQ, or with no quality description at all. A very low rate per 1,000, very high maximums and very fast speed on the same listing are more telling signs than the name.

What it does not mean

Bot does not describe every service that is not labelled real. Some services use accounts run by people who are paid to act, which are not bots in the technical sense but can still be removed. And a bot service is not necessarily a scam: it may deliver exactly what the listing describes. The question is whether what it describes suits your purpose.
