Child panel

Child panel is a ready-made panel website that a parent panel sets up for a customer, connected to the parent's services, so the customer can sell under their own name and prices.

The owner of a child panel picks a domain, a name and a markup, and customers order on it as they would on any panel. Behind the storefront, every order is sent to the parent panel through its API and paid from the owner's balance there. The software, hosting and service list usually come from the parent, often for a recurring fee. It is a quick way to become a reseller, and it is built so that the parent stays the source of supply.

That dependence is the point to understand before buying one. The parent can see every order that passes through, including the links and the volume, so it knows which accounts your customers promote and how much you sell. The parent can change, rename or disable the services behind your catalogue, and your prices do not always follow when its rates move, which can leave you selling at a loss until you notice. On some setups, adding a second provider is restricted or not possible.

If you buy from a child panel as a customer, you are one step further from the supplier than the parent's own customers, usually at a higher price, with support that has to be passed upstream. Nothing on the site announces that it is a child panel, although identical service lists and descriptions on two different sites are a common sign.

What it does not mean

A child panel is not an independent panel. The owner controls the brand and the prices, but not the supply, not the service quality and, in many cases, not whether the site keeps working if the parent stops providing it.
